Art Works by Steffon Moody

“Art Works by Steffon Moody” opens Friday, March 1st from 6-9pm at The Hardware Store Gallery and runs through March 31st.

His 3rd annual show at the Hardware Store Gallery will feature portraits of island personalities, landscapes in oil, charcoal drawings, graphite drawings and inks.

Steffon embraces a broad range of subject matter with the finesse of a master draftsman and painter.  His style is illustrative, bold and lyrical.

This is the first time that Steffon has shown portraits.  “A couple of the oil portraits will be a larger scale than I have yet seen shown in the Hardware Store gallery space, or even the VCA.  They should have quite an impact on the intimate gallery space.”

Also featured will be:
Charcoal drawings of Mexico:  Sayulita and Loreto.
Cartoon style Ink drawings from his 2017 & 2018 Inktober series.
Graphite drawings of Island life: At Francisco’s barber shop, waiting in the ferry line, Sheep dog Trials Field, Engel’s Blackberry junkyard & the Panciche Boat in Dockton.

If you are a fan of Steffon’s work, this is probably his broadest range of subject matter in different mediums yet accumulated in one show; a perfect opportunity to experience the many moods of Steffon Moody.
