Described as “Elegantly Funky” by Wilco’s Nels Cline, Max Hatt / Edda Glass have a unique sound comprised of Glass’s unmistakable voice and Hatt’s lyrical guitar. Their award-winning original compositions and wistful interpretations of Jazz standards, Brazilian Bossa Nova, and Americana Jazz have taken them coast-to-coast from New York City’s Lincoln Center to NPR Mountain Stage, DC’s Kennedy Center and the Sundance Film Fest. In their first visit to Vashon, the duo will be joined by Seattle bass virtuoso Clipper Anderson and drummer Mark Ivester.
“…like hand-printed photographs that speak and sway, the material is hypnotic…” — Lizz Wright
