Singer-sophisticate Rizo returns to Open Space for Arts and Community on Friday, January 31st. A Manhattan fixture with global acclaim, Rizo has earned a name for herself by transforming nightclub-pop into soulful and theatrical cabaret performances.
Rizo was heralded in The New York Times as “SENSATIONAL… A fierce but kindhearted fusion of comedy, burlesque, performance art and rock ’n’ roll.” The Times of London also offered five-star praise and declared: “Rizo boasts a powerhouse set of pipes and personality galore.”
Rizo has brought her unmistakable and unmissable talent as a chanteuse from London to New York and from Spotify to TED Talks. In 2017 she released her second album, Indigo, and has collaborated with Moby, Reggie Watts, and Yo-Yo Ma on his Grammy-winning album Songs of Joy & Peace.
This January, Rizo returns to Open Space by popular demand. Backstage VIP tickets are $60 advance, and $70 at the door (if available). Reserved Table Seating is $38 advance and $45 at the door (if available). General Admission is $26 advance and $30 door. Tickets to this 21+ event are available at the door and on OpenSpaceVashon.com.
