Islanders are invited to experience the magic of Charles Dickens’ prose first-hand December 14thand 15that Open Space for Arts and Community. In this staged reading adapted from the original novel, the audience will be transported into the world of the beloved novel as the ensemble present the story that has inspired countless adaptations in theater, television, and film. The talented Vashon cast includes Russell Baker, Chris Boscia, Alex Drissell, Mick Etchoe, Steve Jones, Mik Kuhlman, Bonny Moss, Orion Moss, Cate O’Cane, Juniper Rogneby and Jon Whalen.

A Christmas Carol is the rare variety of classic that has transcended the realm of “must-read” into “must-experience.” Dickens himself was known to read his famous work to an audience around the holidays for decades. With its rich, poetic language and timeless story, it’s no surprise that the tradition of A Christmas Carol readings continues to this day.
Performances will be held on December 14 at 7:30 PM and December 15 at 4:00 PM.
Tickets are $16 for advanced purchase online, or $20 at the door. Youth 18 & under are Free (Youth tickets are limited in number and must be reserved online in advance). Beverages and concessions will be available.
