Vashon Health Care District Urgent Care is Live

One of the Loop’s editors spotted a distinctive car this afternoon:

A DispatchHealth car

We assumed it was to “show the flag” for VHCD’s upcoming urgent care solution. But when we ran into DispatchHealth’s people, we confirmed that they are on-island and ready to provide care.

What can they do? Stitches. Assessments. Limited blood panels. A number of antibiotics, and a range of other IV treatments (such as emergency hydration). There’s more, and we’ll be interviewing a supervisor in the near future. Stay tuned!

In them meantime, if you have an urgent care need, you can book them via their web site: DispatchHealth We understand their current hours are 11-7, 7 days a week

Their web site says their costs are the same as any other urgent care clinic, and they can handle most insurances.
