We want to hear from Vashon Islanders!

We are looking for contributions no longer than 700 words on various topics related to Island life, community resilience, our connections to the larger world, Island heritage and nature, challenges of our times and how they affect us, as well as possible strategies and solutions, and so much more.

Before writing and submitting your article, we encourage you to inquire first regarding your idea. All material published in The Vashon Loop is by author permission, and all authors published in The Loop maintain copyright to their creations.

The Vashon Loop newspaper is released on the 7th of each month, unless the 7th falls on a Friday or the weekend; then the release date is the Monday following. Posting to the online Vashon Loop, this website, will be ongoing. All submissions will be considered for both the newspaper and the online Loop.
