Blood oranges are not as bitter as oranges, and make nice dried slices for natural decorations for your tree, as well as a delightful treat filled with vitamin C. For fun – slice off the top, hollow out, and make juice. Use the hollowed-out cup for hot cider and spices, add a cinnamon stick, and enjoy. Also for making pomanders with kids, prick holes in the skin and push in whole cloves in a design or all over. The cloves preserve the citrus for a nice natural table decoration for years to come.
